Conservation VolunteerJoin us as a conservation volunteer at Spark-A-Change Foundation's RSPCA West Hatch Animal and Wildlife Centre.
In this role, you will assist our team with various conservation tasks, including:
- Helping with gardening and grounds maintenance to create a safe and comfortable environment for animals
- Participating in leaf clearing and pruning to promote healthy plant growth and prevent damage
- Assisting with tidying paddocks and keeping them clean and free of debris
- Designing wildlife-friendly gardens and areas that attract beneficial insects and wildlife
You will also have the opportunity to participate in habitat restoration projects and help with general maintenance of garden areas and borders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong passion for conservation and animal welfare
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of animal behavior and handling preferred but not required
As a conservation volunteer, you will have the chance to develop new skills, meet like-minded individuals, and contribute to a worthwhile cause.
We offer a competitive salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and opportunities for professional development and training.
