We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operative Driver to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As an Operative Driver, you will play a critical role in delivering a safe, reliable, and efficient street cleansing service to improve the quality of streets and public spaces in Manchester City Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out street cleansing activities such as sweeping, litter picking, emptying litter and dog waste bins, graffiti/fly poster removal, and other associated street cleansing duties.
  • Work in accordance with the requirements of the contract and compliance with health and safety training and safe systems of work.
  • Provide high-quality, customer-focused, flexible, and prompt operational support.
  • Work across all services, including RCV Class 2 drivers, C1 licence holders, van drivers, and cleansing operatives.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills.
  • Must hold a valid driving license or Class 2 & CPC.
  • Able to work flexible hours.
  • Good time-keeping.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on your own as required.
  • Willing to work outside throughout the year, in all weather conditions, in a physically demanding role.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety.
