Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join their team in the Leicestershire area. As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day advice and guidance to management and site leaders on health and safety matters.
  • Ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are current and briefed to relevant staff.
  • Coordinate and carry out safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Implement and maintain the BRC-IOP hygiene standard.
  • Review and update health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a printing and packaging industry.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
