Senior Reserving Actuary

We are seeking a senior reserving actuary to join our team as a director in our non-life insurance practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in non-life insurance reserving, including experience working at a senior level within a Lloyd's Syndicate, London Market / Specialty or Commercial Lines Insurer or Reinsurer, or a non-life insurance consultancy team. The role will involve leading the delivery of high-quality work in line with agreed deadlines for our broad set of clients, including independent reserve reviews and other reserving related offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects or substantial work streams from conception through to delivery.
  • Take responsibility for results and assumptions, oversee client communications, and manage junior colleagues.
  • Lead client engagements, including independent reserve reviews and other reserving related offerings.
  • Contribute to people and team development through line management, mentoring, and/or leading training sessions.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality work, a strong network of market contacts, and excellent project management, delegation, and people management skills. They will also be able to travel to our UK offices or client sites on an as needed basis.

Requirements
  • Extensive non-life insurance reserving experience.
  • Experience working at a senior level within a Lloyd's Syndicate, London Market / Specialty or Commercial Lines Insurer or Reinsurer, or a non-life insurance consultancy team.
  • Existing network of market contacts, or willingness to develop such a network.
  • Proven project management, delegation, and people management skills.
  • Availability to travel to our UK offices or client sites on an as needed basis.
