Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ALM Technology Delivery Lead to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will be responsible for managing the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery, resource allocation, and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile-Scrum methodologies.
  • Collaborate with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, quality teams, product managers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.
  • Manage change requests and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure they deliver according to agreed terms.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes.
Vice President Expectations
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organisation functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing projects with medium to high complexity, business critical, and large cross-functional teams within a financial and regulated environment.
  • Solid understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience of working within an agile project team.
  • Adept at breaking requirements down into user stories for implementation.
  • Understanding of Treasury or Finance and general financial markets knowledge.
  • Experience in data analysis and testing.
