We're committed to delivering exceptional food and service, and we're looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Chef to join our team.
The RoleAs an Assistant Chef, you'll be responsible for preparing and delivering healthy, nutritious, and fun menus for our students and staff. You'll work closely with our team to ensure the highest quality of food and service, and you'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and flair.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing menus using our recipes and guidelines
- Ensuring food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety compliance
- Producing hospitality services as requested by our clients
- Supervising our team members
- Building relationships with our clients and customers
- Providing excellent customer service
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service. You'll need:
- Experience in education catering, using fresh ingredients and possessing excellent craft skills
- Food Hygiene level 2 & 3 (further training will be available)
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety practices
- Computer literacy and experience with different systems
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a desire to learn and achieve
We offer a great work-life balance, with Monday to Friday hours during school term time. You'll have plenty of time for friends and family, and no working at Christmas. This role includes:
- 40 hours per week, with no late nights
- 39 weeks per year, based around term time
- A highly competitive salary
