Bookkeeper Opportunity with Growing Accountancy Practice

TPF Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency for accountancy practices in Kent, is assisting a highly successful and expanding accountancy practice near Rochester in their search for a skilled Bookkeeper. This firm has experienced continuous growth through referrals and new business generation, offering a supportive and progressive work environment.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for delivering bookkeeping services up to the extended trial balance, preparing VAT returns, and potentially engaging in additional services depending on your background and experience. You will work with a diverse range of clients across various industries and turnovers, including sole traders, limited companies, and LLPs.

This role offers the opportunity to support Managers and Directors, with increasing responsibility, client contact, and professional development. The firm has adopted online accounting, transitioning clients to cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks. Experience with these or similar programs is essential.

Requirements
  • You may be AAT-qualified or have developed your career through hands-on experience and are looking to further build on this in a practical role.
  • You must have experience in bookkeeping and preparing VAT returns within an accountancy practice of any size.
  • You should have at least two years, preferably more, of experience in these areas within an accountancy practice environment.
Benefits
  • A highly competitive salary of £24,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
