About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our team at On Target Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing the daily design workload, while also working closely with our Regional Sales Managers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily design workload, including production of Temporary Works Designs and drawings to satisfy customer demand.
  • Provide technical guidance to the sales team and support the internal design team, including Graduate Engineers, Design Engineers, and Technicians.
  • Identify training requirements for Graduate Engineers/Design Engineers within their job role and implement adequate training plans.
  • Support the Design Manager and Engineering Manager with department efficiency, training, and recruitment.
  • Manage a team of engineers and look to grow the team.
Requirements
  • Closer to or have achieved a minimum IEng professional recognition with the ICE / IStructE (working towards becoming chartered).
  • Several years' experience in a similar role within Shoring, Above ground propping, and temporary works.
  • Good understanding of geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication and technical conversation skills (internally and externally).
  • Right to work in the UK and a full driving license.
