Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Analyst to join our International Casualty team at AXA XL. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the Head of Pricing, International Casualty and underwriters across UK, Europe, and APAC in all aspects of casualty pricing.

About the Role

As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring AXA XL is a leader in the field of technical pricing and portfolio management.
  • Assisting the Head of Pricing, International Casualty to maintain and improve the Pricing view of loss ratio for the portfolio.
  • Challenging Actuarial and Underwriting leadership, Reserving and Capital modelling.
  • Driving consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis across International Casualty.
  • Ensuring efficiency of pricing processes, compliance with pricing guidelines, and delivery of core tasks such as planning and core pricing metrics.
  • Training underwriters in pricing matters and supporting pricing accounts, including portfolio deals.
  • Results and Metrics storytelling in support of Finance Business Partners and Reserving.
  • Gathering local Underwriting data and analytics needs and problems.
  • Leveraging other AXA XL capabilities, Risk Consulting, Strategic Analytics, and Enterprise Business Data Solutions.
  • Working with the wider casualty team to complete tasks and assist in the development of junior team members.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in non-life insurance pricing.
  • Influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Leadership skills to work collaboratively with colleagues to build consensus.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to gain buy-in and communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external clients.
  • The ability to think strategically.
