We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team at Dalkia UK. As a key member of our estates operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, secure, and compliant operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance Management: Develop and implement robust systems and processes to ensure compliance with statutory regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Estates Maintenance: Manage all aspects of estates maintenance, including reactive, planned maintenance, and minor works, to ensure a high-quality, safe, and efficient service.
- Contract Management: Monitor contractors and ensure that works are carried out to specification, and manage contract-related reports and liaison with Health & Safety and other related bodies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that PPM activity is fully commensurate with statutory regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Training and Development: Advise and support managers on the identification and requirements of staff training to ensure that all staff receive training that supports and contributes to a compliant environment.
- Legislative Awareness: Ensure that the post holder keeps abreast of any changes in legislation and guidance relating to our services.
- Governance and Systems: Develops and embeds robust governance, systems, and processes throughout the organization.
- QSHE Management: Manage the implementation and management of QSHE requirements.
- Policies and Procedures: In collaboration with the client base and key stakeholders, develop, monitor, and review environment-related policies and procedures in terms of compliance and meeting statutory responsibilities.
- Culture and Responsiveness: Promote and develop a culture of responsiveness, ownership, and customer care within the team.
- Experience: Experience working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer or Minor works Manager within an FM environment is highly desirable.
- Qualifications: Qualification in an Estates or Facilities related subject or equivalent experience ideally within compliance, and delivery of minor work.
- Health and Safety: Recognised Health & Safety related qualification, such as NEBOSH.
- Management Skills: Strong management skills.
- Competitive Salary: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year.
