Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support children with special educational needs in a year 3/4 classroom. As a proactive and passionate individual, you will work closely with the teacher to provide targeted support and help students reach their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to children with SEN, using strategies tailored to their individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement learning plans that cater to diverse abilities.
  • Use your knowledge of the KS2 curriculum to support students who require extra assistance, helping them achieve age-related expectations.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a KS2 setting.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and tailor support to meet individual needs.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and ability to use this knowledge to inform teaching practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £95-£110 per day, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive daily rate, we offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
