Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Insights Strategist to join our team at Digital Extremes. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the new player experience and overall performance of our games with an emphasis on Warframe Mobile.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze large datasets to identify areas of friction and opportunities for improvement in the first-time user experience (FTUE).
  • Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimize onboarding flows, tutorials, and early game mechanics through A/B testing.
  • Build predictive models to identify players at risk of churn and develop targeted interventions to improve retention.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as player engagement, retention, monetization, and virality.
  • Analyze player behavior data to understand game mechanics, identify imbalances, and optimize game design.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets of player behavior, in-game events, and economic activity.
  • Build predictive models to forecast player behavior, optimize game parameters, and personalize the player experience.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility.
  • Collaborate closely with game designers, product managers, and engineers to translate data insights into actionable game improvements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or related field, with a focus on mobile gaming or a related industry.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R.
  • Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with big data technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Deep understanding of game mechanics, economies, and player behavior.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of expertise required.
