Job Title: Executive Chef Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Chef Assistant to join our team at Ragdale Hall Spa. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting our senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and presentation of dishes
  • Prepare meal ingredients, including seasoning of meats and washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Prepare basic salads and sauces as directed by senior chefs
  • Receive deliveries and verify that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality
  • Take inventory of restaurant supplies and notify the supervisor of low or depleted supplies
  • Discard all expired and spoiled food items stored in stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
  • Perform basic cleaning duties and ensure work stations are properly sanitized
  • Plate and present meal items as per senior chefs' instructions

Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in food preparation or professional cookery and Level 2 Hygiene is desirable.

Working Hours:
39 hours per week worked on a rota basis between the hours of 6.00 am and 10 pm including some weekends.

Salary and Benefits:
