Barbering Instructor

The Novus Gower organization is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Barbering Instructor at HMP Parc. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of learners while achieving a better work-life balance.

• This role involves delivering high-quality lessons to up to 6 learners, working alongside the education team to raise achievement and aspirations.
• You will be equipped with a fully refurbished classroom and have time to plan lessons during the day.
• The Prison security team ensures a safe and smooth learning environment.

The key responsibilities include delivering Barbering and Grooming lessons, holding a formal Education qualification, and possessing relevant qualifications such as PTTLS or EAT level 3, Health and Safety, and expertise in the subject area.

• Qualified to formal Education standard
• Hold PTTLS or EAT level 3 or similar
• Health and Safety qualification or willingness to work towards
• Qualification in subject area confirming expertise and skills in trade
• Excellent literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to motivate self and learners
• Excellent communication skills
• Work under own initiative
• Flexibility
• Understanding of Curriculum Cymraig
• Understanding of Estyn

Estimated salary for this role is around £35,000-£40,000 per annum.
