About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our team at Sofitel London St James.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the culinary team to conceptualise and develop innovative pastry creations.
- Oversee daily preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Uphold rigorous standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety to guarantee the utmost quality and freshness.
- Train and develop junior pastry team members.
- Contribute to menu planning and special event preparations.
- Drive efficiency in kitchen operations and uphold our commitment to quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role within a high-end culinary environment.
- Creative flair and a strong understanding of flavour combinations and presentation.
- Proficiency in a variety of pastry techniques including decorating and plating.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications is highly desirable.
