We are seeking a skilled Senior Drainage Design Engineer to lead the successful delivery of projects, ensuring they meet established standards, deadlines, and budgetary requirements.

This role involves taking the lead on technically challenging projects, prioritising and coordinating day-to-day tasks and resources, and ensuring quality and project controls are adhered to.

As a Senior Drainage Design Engineer, you’ll specialise in highway drainage and incorporate expertise in water utilities and Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA).

The role contributes to impactful projects within Kier Design Services, and you’ll work closely with the Design Team Leader to develop and deliver projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet established standards and deadlines
  • Coordinating day-to-day tasks and resources, prioritising and managing project risks
  • Ensuring quality and project controls are adhered to, including the latest design standards and lessons learnt
  • Supporting the development of fee estimates and programmes, monitoring project delivery and undertaking necessary change control management
  • Supporting the Design Team Leader with the development and overall wellbeing of the team
