About the Role
Parkwood Surgery is seeking a skilled and dedicated Salaried Doctor to join our team. As a Salaried Doctor, you will be responsible for providing primary medical services to our registered patients, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, including surgery consultations, emergencies, and telephone consultations.
- Assess and manage patient health needs, including screening for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
- Develop and implement care plans for health-related illnesses, in line with current disease management protocols and care pathways.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, in accordance with locally agreed or nationally agreed prescribing formulary.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.
- Participate in continuing professional development, annual GP appraisal, and Revalidation, to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Currently on the performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register.
- Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Commitment to and experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary and skill-mixed team environment.
- Experience of working to achieve standards within the Quality and Outcome Framework (QOF).
- Clinical Governance.
- Primary care prevention and screening services.
- Self-audit and reflection.
- Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork.
- Time management, being able to prioritise work and work under pressure.
- Computer literacy.
- Adaptability to change.
