Account Handler Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our team at PIB Insurance Brokers. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, ensuring they have adequate and appropriate insurance covers, and contributing to the growth of our accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Service: Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to all clients, ensuring they have the best possible experience with our company.
  • Account Growth: Assist in generating new customers, supporting the development of our business strategy, and contributing to the growth of our accounts.
  • Insurance Advice: Provide professional advice and service to clients, including the provision of quotations as directed.
  • Renewal Procedures: Follow Group Broking Procedures for renewal procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Group Accounts: Comply with Group accounts procedures and queries, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Post Processing: Complete post-processing tasks within timescales, following Group Broking procedures and company standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate computer records, ensuring completeness and up-to-date information.
  • Reporting: Prepare and issue risk registers, pre-renewal agendas, submission reports, and renewal reports for clients and insurers.
  • Documentation: Check documentation prior to account executive signing off, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication and liaison with all departments within PIB, ensuring seamless collaboration and information sharing.
  • Payment Management: Secure payment from clients within timescales, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Task Management: Use diary and task bar systems accurately, ensuring workload management and problem reporting to commercial managers.
  • File Progress: Maintain constant communication on file progress with relevant executives, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Professional Development: Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge, working towards chartered insurance qualifications as required.
  • Complaints and Breaches: Identify, report, and resolve breaches, complaints, and errors and omissions, responding positively to quality assurance.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in an Account Handler position within the insurance industry.
  • Personal Lines Experience: Previous Personal Lines experience.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
