Evening Cleaner Wanted for ACS International Schools

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated evening cleaner to join our team at ACS International Schools in Cobham, Surrey. This part-time role requires 25 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday from 5pm to 10pm, during term time only.

The hourly wage for this position is between £15-20, resulting in an approximate annual salary of £19,700-26,400 for a 42-week contract.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the school premises.
  • Develop effective relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of power machinery and equipment before use, reporting any issues to the Cleaning Supervisor.
  • Stay informed about COSHH regulations and utilize Personal Protective Equipment appropriately.
  • Display clear warning signs during cleaning activities.
  • Follow 'lone worker' protocols, maintaining regular contact as specified.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and first aid equipment locations.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations while performing duties.
  • Adhere to established procedures for securing doors, windows, keys, radios, and cleaning cupboards.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in professional cleaning environments.
  • Familiarity with COSH Manual Handling and general Health and Safety legislation.
  • Expertise in cleaning procedures and equipment usage.
  • Residency in the UK, as sponsorship is not available.
