Electrical Engineer Opportunity

MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Design:
    • Conducting existing asset surveys to identify electrical system requirements
    • Performing emergency stop assessments to ensure electrical system safety
    • Creating single line diagrams to visualize electrical system layouts
    • Developing communications network drawings to integrate electrical systems with other infrastructure
    • Performing comprehensive electrical design work to ensure system efficiency and reliability
    • Preparing and reviewing electrical drawing briefs to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Designing main distribution boards to manage electrical power distribution
  • Suppliers / Subcontractors:
    • Selecting and specifying electrical installation contractors
    • Managing building services to ensure electrical system integration
    • Overseeing earthing and lightning protection to ensure electrical system safety
  • Commissioning:
    • Preparing commissioning documentation to ensure electrical system testing and validation
    • Conducting FBA inspections to verify electrical system functionality
    • Authorizing energization to ensure electrical system safety
  • Control Panels:
    • Providing tender packages to panel suppliers to ensure electrical system integration
    • Interpreting client specifications to ensure electrical system compliance
    • Placing orders with suppliers to ensure timely electrical system delivery
    • Overseeing panel construction to ensure electrical system quality
    • Approving supplier panel schematics for build to ensure electrical system accuracy
    • Approving supplier bills of materials (BOM) for build to ensure electrical system completeness
    • Producing cable schedules for site installations to ensure electrical system efficiency
    • Designing and drawing ASi boards to integrate electrical systems with other infrastructure
    • Ordering backboards and materials for construction to ensure electrical system quality
    • Programming ASi nodes to ensure electrical system functionality
    • Producing ASi node and ASi site markers to ensure electrical system identification
  • Electrical Off-Site Testing:
    • Conducting ASi network works testing to ensure electrical system functionality
    • Performing control panel works testing to ensure electrical system reliability
