We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing debt collection, chasing overdue accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chase all overdue accounts and monitor payment patterns to minimize potential bad debt and maximize cash collection.
  • Respond to all customer email and telephone enquiries/queries.
  • Liaise with sales/customer services and purchase ledger to resolve stock and pricing issues.
  • Negotiate payment plans and restrict supply of goods when necessary.
  • General Sales Ledger Accounts Administration, including responding to copy requests, updating account contacts, checking customer credit ratings, applying credit terms, and updating customer invoice portal platforms.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • GCSE pass in Math and English language.
  • AAT or equivalent working experience.
  • Knowledge of filing systems and proficiency in the English language.
  • Direct experience as a Credit Controller with a solid finance background.
  • Experience with EDI (portals) for invoice processing.
  • Good numeracy skills and the ability to work accurately in a busy environment.
  • An analytical mind with the ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and a 'completer-finisher'.
  • A flexible team player with proactive work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A confident self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic 'can do' attitude.
  • Customer-focused, reliable, conscientious, and dedicated.
