About This Opportunity

We are seeking a Highly Skilled Cardiac Diagnostician to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to work in a busy Echocardiography Department, contributing to the provision of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have experience working with cardiac pathologies and clinical situations, as well as holding dual accreditation with both the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) and European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).

This role offers a unique chance to develop your career as a competent Echocardiographer, with opportunities to progress to training in advanced specialist areas. You will also be supported to develop your leadership skills, supervising and training staff in their individual roles and providing support to senior staff members.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to rotate between St Bartholomew's Hospital and one other hospital site within the Trust network, working autonomously as a senior staff member within the non-invasive Cardiac Diagnostics department. They will assist senior staff with managerial tasks, covering 3 days during weekdays and 2 days on weekends.

We accept and consider part-time arrangements if necessary. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a good knowledge of transthoracic echocardiography and BSE/EACVI certification. A BSc Clinical Physiology or international equivalent qualification is essential, along with Immediate Life Support certification.
