Job Title: Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Farnborough/Hampshire area

Salary: up to £75,000

Yoh has partnered with a scaling business that designs and manufactures cutting-edge environmental sensors for sectors like marine, agriculture, and defense. Due to expansion, they are seeking a talented Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

This role involves developing next-generation instruments and systems, working with a dedicated team on advanced optical and acoustic instrumentation recognized globally for its quality and performance.

  1. Oversee the mechanical design activities within the business.
  2. Support the director of engineering in preparation, planning, and development of design projects.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of engineering disciplines and a high level of design ability. They will also have experience leading and developing a design team in a high technology engineering environment, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and manage a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the mechanical design activities within the business.

Requirements:
