Senior Food Technologist Job Description

B3 Jobs Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Food Technologist to join our team in Berkshire.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding on-site teams, ensuring adherence to relevant standards, policies, and regulations, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deputise for the Technical Manager, supporting their responsibilities and stepping in when needed, mentor and develop the Food Technologists within your department.
  2. Contribute to customer and third-party audits, ensuring compliance with quality management procedures related to food safety and quality culture.
  3. Participate in root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues effectively.
  4. Complete customer forms, specifications, and other relevant documentation accurately and manage the quality manual and other food safety documents.
  5. Manage supplier audits, packaging waste regulations, and license documentation.
  6. Contribute to improving product safety, quality, and overall culture at both the group and site levels.

About You

The ideal candidate should have a proven background in writing specifications within food manufacturing and possess a good knowledge of industry standards.

Requirements

  1. Proficiency in writing specifications is essential.
  2. Ideal education to degree level with a food science-relevant degree.
  3. Possess leadership qualities with drive, ambition, and the ability to challenge standards within all relevant departments.

Working Conditions

The Senior Food Technologist job is based in Berkshire and offers a competitive salary of £45,000 according to experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday office hours.
