Job Opportunity: Control and Instrumentation Product Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Product Support Engineer to join our team at Ideal Personnel & Recruitment Solutions Limited. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance to our clients and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients on Instrumentation and Serial Interface products, including answering technical questions, assisting with customer applications, and performing fault investigations.
  • Design and deliver training courses and presentations to European subsidiaries, creating operation manuals and technical guides, and conducting investigations and tests to evaluate products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement technical solutions and product improvements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, technical guides, and product specifications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure our products and services remain competitive and innovative.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Software, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a technical support or engineering role.
  • Knowledge of PLCs and Ladder or Structured Text programming language.
  • Knowledge of sensors and instrumentation for industrial applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write detailed, technical reports and product documentation.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to Europe for training and client meetings.

Desirable:

  • Experience in inspecting and testing devices.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic and electrical test equipment.
  • Experience in planning and managing projects.
  • Technical product support experience.
  • Experience in delivering technical training.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and IO-Link.
  • European or Japanese language skills.
