Veterinary Surgeon

We are seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our dedicated night team at our 24-hour RCVS accredited hospital in Essex.
As an out of hours veterinary surgeon, you will work 7 nights on and 14 nights off, on a rota with the other OOH's vets. You will start at 7.30pm and finish at 8.30am, allowing a great work-life balance and continuity in shift pattern.
We are looking for a veterinary surgeon who is enthusiastic, has some experience working out of hours, and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. You should have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a larger team, but also be confident working sole charge and making decisions on the spot.
Our hospital offers a wide and varied caseload, including some exotics, and you will be joining a dedicated night team of 1 vet, 2 qualified nurses, and 2 assistants. The experience and special interests of our clinical team mean we can offer even more to our patients in-house, including emergency and critical care, ophthalmology, cardiology, exotic care, and soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
Our hospital has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including MRI, Ultrasound, CT scanner, digital x-ray, laparoscopes, and endoscopes, as well as Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy rehabilitation space.
We offer a generous starting salary of £75,000, paid lunch breaks, full VISA sponsorship, unlimited CPD allowance, private medical insurance, pension scheme, employee discount, and a generous employee benefits package.
