Agricultural Technician Role

Smallridge Bros Ltd are seeking an experienced Agricultural Technician to join their team at the Collabear depot. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking for a long-term career with a rewarding company.

Job Function:

Perform diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer- and dealer-owned equipment. Salary is dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct diagnostics and repairs on agricultural or turf equipment, including AMS products.
  2. Complete all reports and administrative tasks required for work assignments.
  3. Maintain a clean workstation and assist with overall workshop organization, ensuring correct use of tools and vehicles.
  4. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations during work assignments.
  5. Participate in Service Training Certification programs to develop skills and knowledge.
  6. Perform diagnostics and repairs in the field when required.
  7. Conduct pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment.
  8. Mentor apprentices.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience performing service repairs.
  • Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following approved technical procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to affect the repair of agricultural equipment.
  • Ability to use standard computer applications and internet functions.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Good customer relationship skills.
  • Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Forklift and vehicle driving license preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends.
