Theatre Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team in the Orthopaedics department at The Clementine Churchill Hospital.
About the Role:This is a full-time position for 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift pattern including weekends. The successful candidate will be required to cover a range of duties, including assisting with surgical procedures, preparing patients for theatre, and maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Prepare patients for theatre, including administering medications, conducting pre-operative checks, and ensuring patients are comfortable and prepared for surgery.
- Maintain a safe and efficient operating environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, anaesthetists, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- 12 months experience in a theatre setting is desirable but not essential.
- Orthopaedic experience essential.
