Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the technical sales aspects including segment, product line and technology packages throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with sales organization on new customer opportunities, build strong customer relationships and provide technology training.
  • Collect and analyze customer/market insights to identify winning technology solutions and support strategic sales growth initiatives.
  • Work closely with Global Technical Sales Managers to ensure alignment and leverage global insights and strategies.


Essential Duties


  1. Build credible and strong relationships by focusing on:



  • Advocating, coaching and training for segment, product line and/or specific technology.
  • Supporting sales growth opportunities and proposal development in a team selling approach with sales managers and sales support operations.
  • Actively supporting sales activities including customer technology needs assessment, alignment with engineering standards, technology decision, product sizing and strategic account planning.
  • Obtaining and coordinating data and recommendations to Sales and Sales Operations.
  • Resolving customer issues with products, projects and service as needed.


Qualifications and Skills


  1. Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.
  2. Master's degree preferred.
  3. 5+ years engineering or operations experience within the oilseeds complex, preferably in oilseeds crushing or vegetable oil refining, palm processing, biodiesel and/or oleochemical business.
  4. Demonstrated sales support experience.
  5. Knowledge of computers and applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  6. Must be able to communicate in English fluently, with the ability to communicate in a second language - European or Asian languages preferred but not required.
  7. Customer relationship management (CRM) experience a plus.
  8. Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time.
