Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct Site Surveys and Analyze Project Specifications

Conduct thorough site surveys to understand project scope and complexity, and analyze project specifications to determine labour, material, and equipment costs.

Prepare Detailed Cost Estimates

Prepare detailed cost estimates for all aspects of the fit-out project, including materials, labour, subcontractor costs, permits, and contingencies.

Research and Obtain Competitive Quotes

Research and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure estimates are accurate and reflect current pricing.

Analyze Data and Market Trends

Analyze data and market trends to ensure estimates are accurate and reflect current pricing.

Identify Cost Risks and Develop Mitigation Strategies

Identify potential cost risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project feasibility within budget.

Maintain a Cost Database

Maintain a cost database to track historical project data for future reference.

Collaborate with Project Stakeholders

Work collaboratively with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project feasibility within budget.

Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools
  • Understanding of construction methods and materials for fit-out projects
  • Experience with building codes and regulations (a plus)
  • Valid driver's license
