Senior Architectural Technician

As a Senior Architectural Technician at Bloor Homes, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our construction teams have something to build and our sales teams have something to sell. Main Responsibilities
  1. Engage with land bid and strategic land processes to provide design, technical, and planning input.
  2. Produce and amend site layouts, house type planning drawings, and other design drawings and documentation.
  3. Liaise with planning authorities and project stakeholders on planning-related matters.
  4. Prepare, submit, and manage planning applications, including outline, full, and reserved matters applications.
  5. Coordinate production of construction information and submit and manage building regulations applications.
  6. Manage projects on site, handle queries, attend site meetings, and perform other liaison tasks.
  7. Produce contract, legal, and conveyancing drawings and coordinate site legal setup.
  8. Handle post-completion issues, such as management company liaison, technical input to customer care issues, and engagement with covenant and legal matters.
  9. Supervise, manage, develop, and mentor junior team members.
  10. Attend meetings necessary for performing duties.
  11. Comply with and uphold company values, policies, and procedures.
  12. Maintain all health and safety aspects associated with Covid-19.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  1. Previous experience in a housebuilder's design and technical department.
  2. 5 GCSE grade 4 or above, including maths and English.
  3. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  4. Computer/IT literate with capability to use Excel, Word, and database packages.
  5. Ability to use AutoCAD.
