Job Summary


As a Senior Financial Partner at Algeco UK, you will play a key role in supporting the Regional Director/MD and their teams on all finance-related matters. This includes providing analysis and commentary on monthly management accounts, interpreting budgets, forecasts, and previous years' performance for the respective area.



  • Primary Finance Support: Partner with the Regional Director/MD and their teams on all finance-related matters.
  • Management Accounts: Interpret monthly management accounts to provide meaningful analysis and commentary against budgets, forecasts, and previous years' performance for the respective area.
  • Sales Performance Support: Provide analysis and challenge on the utilisation of the rental fleet, rental rates, transport rates, and 360 products to deliver against budget and forecast targets.
  • Reporting: Produce monthly regional/OBU trading and reporting packs with appropriate league tables for depot and sales performance by salesperson.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all depots and regional functions, delivering insight and analysis to identify and communicate long-term trends to key stakeholders.
  • Initiative Support: Support the identification and implementation of initiatives across the business, including preparing business cases with robust financial models.
  • P&L Analysis: Provide robust financial analysis of the Delivery & Installation part of the P&L and helping identify cost-saving or margin-enhancing opportunities.
  • Cost Monitoring: Monitor maintenance costs per unit and challenging production efficiency in the end-to-end yard process to drive optimal cost per unit type.
  • Contract Profitability: Develop and review end-to-end contract profitability, making recommendations to senior stakeholders on improvements across different customers and product sets.
  • Month-End Support: Support the financial accounting teams by providing operational insight into the month-end numbers and supplementary analysis required for external reporting.
  • FP&A Requirements: In addition to regional business partnering, FP&A requirements across the P&L covering Sales, Cost of Sales (GPC), Cost to Serve (D&I), SG&A, working capital, and Capex.

Requirements



  • Qualified Accountant
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in FP&A/FBP role
  • Strong analytical skills & ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence at a senior level
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Proactive in approach
  • Able to prioritise effectively to focus on high impact activities
  • Strong commercial acumen
