Respite Foster Care: A Vital Role

Our respite foster care program offers a vital support system for families who need a break. As a respite foster caregiver, you'll provide temporary care for children, giving their permanent caregivers a much-needed rest. This can be overnight, a weekend, or up to two weeks during school holidays.

Benefits of Respite Foster Care
  • You can still foster even if you're currently working, renting, or receiving benefits.
  • You don't need to be a homeowner or have a large family to foster.
  • You'll receive a weekly allowance of between £400-£700 to support the child's care.
  • You'll be part of a supportive community of foster carers and receive ongoing training and support.
