We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Neurological Service, providing specialist care and support to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise, contribute to service improvements, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients with stroke and other neurological conditions.
- Deliver high-quality interventions, including functional training, cognitive rehabilitation, and adaptive equipment prescription.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective care coordination and communication.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision, peer review, and reflective practice to maintain exceptional clinical standards.
**Essential Requirements:**
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- HPC registration
- Experience working with stroke patients in a community or inpatient setting at Band 5 level
- Documented evidence of professional development and reflective practice in relevant aspects of neurological rehabilitation
**Desirable Qualifications and Experience:**
- Postgraduate training in neurological rehabilitation
- Experience supervising student occupational therapists or rehabilitation assistants
- Certification in splinting, normal movement, or spasticity management
**Salary:** £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
