Compliance Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
The Compliance Technician role at One YMCA is a critical position that requires a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to support the compliance team in ensuring the organization's buildings and properties meet all relevant health and safety standards and regulations.
As a key member of the Place & Environment team, the Compliance Technician will be responsible for carrying out routine inspections and tests to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with current and future legislation and policy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building maintenance and associated risks, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
Provide early detection of site issues relating to H&S and general location condition.
Report defects and issues, relating to all aspects of site use, by use of the internal REBIM software and to carry out emergency/remedial actions as instructed by the relevant line manager.
Support our repairs and maintenance team during high levels of demand to ensure service delivery to all areas of the business.
Ensure all work is carried out safely, in accordance with our code of conduct with respect to our residents, staff and visitors whenever working in or outside of the property.
Offer an excellent level of customer service - be respectful, positive, polite, on time and listen to the needs of customers, residents, and staff.
Complete paperwork after each job promptly and accurately detailing materials used, works carried out and any other repairs required for completion.
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience of monitoring compliance and being able to carry out a full range of general maintenance.
The ability to use, repair and maintain machines and tools.
To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
Good customer service skills.
The ability to use own initiative.
Excellent communication skills.
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
