About the Role

Leeds College Of Building is seeking a skilled Architect to join our team. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing building projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement building designs that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues.
  • Prepare and submit reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Qualifying to be an Architect typically involves five years at university and completing a minimum of two years' practical experience.
  • To get on to a degree, you will need 4 or more GCSEs grades A-C (9-4) and a minimum of 2 A Levels or BTEC equivalent, such as the Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary or Extended Diploma.
  • A degree apprenticeship in architecture is currently being developed.

Salary and Benefits

Graduate salaries start at £24,000 a year. Experienced architects earn between £25,000 and £40,000 a year. Experienced Chartered Architects can earn between £50,000 to £60,000 a year or more.
