Ashberry Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Advanced Practitioner to join our client's Practice Development Hub in Barnsley. This role is perfect for a dedicated and motivated practitioner who aspires to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals. As part of our commitment to workforce development, we are seeking an Advanced Practitioner who will collaborate with colleagues in the Hub and alongside the Practice Development Manager and Principal Social Worker to develop, drive, and deliver our practice model, continuous professional development, and training offer for children's social workers and practitioners.

  • The successful candidate will be a key member of our Social Work Academy, providing supervision, support, and guidance to Newly Qualified social workers in their Assessed and Supported Year in practice.
  • They will also develop and deliver training aligned to the Barnsley Stronger Together practice model, supporting learning and driving best practice across Children's Social Care.
  • Additionally, they will work closely with the Quality Assurance Team to ensure that learning from audit is embedded in our training and development.

We require a recognised Social Work qualification, registration with Social Work England, and significant post-qualification experience, including supervision and mentoring. Enhanced and in-date DBS certificates are essential. A flexible approach to work and working hours when needed is also required.
