Band 7 Occupational Therapist OpportunityThe role of Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist in the Paediatric Service offers a unique chance for an innovative and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team. Based at Kincardine Community Hospital in Stonehaven, this position involves working closely with other Band 7 staff across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City.
This exciting opportunity enables the successful candidate to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children within the community, schools, and patients' homes across South and West Aberdeenshire. As a senior member of staff, the post holder will contribute significantly to the occupational therapy service across various clinical areas.
The post requires excellent communication, organisational skills, and the ability to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment programs for patients with diverse conditions in mixed community settings. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and agencies is essential for seamless care, with the occupational therapist playing a vital role in this process.
As a leader in the Paediatric Service, the post holder will be responsible for supervising occupational therapists and healthcare support workers, as well as deputising for the Lead Occupational Therapist when required. The supervision of OT staff and training of students are integral parts of this role, in addition to contributing to service development within the wider Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team.
The service operates a flexible working policy and provides regular support, supervision, CPD, and development opportunities aligned with Turas. We welcome inquiries and offer visits to the workplace for potential applicants. Interviews will take place on 4/12/24.
