Job Description

Job Title – Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We provide these services with a strong emphasis on sustainability and decarbonisation, to support our clients in transitioning from conventional power and heat generation to low carbon and renewable energy solutions.

We are a dynamic and evolving company, headquartered in Liverpool, and work with clients across the UK.

The position, reporting directly to the group GM, has emerged due to a rapid increase in business inquiries and growth plans. Therefore, we are seeking to add an exceptional member to our team. What's required is a highly motivated, experienced person with strong electrical design skills accompanied by the ability to travel to site and verify installations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to understand existing building services systems and develop robust, more efficient alternatives supported by calculations and predictive analysis.
  • Design of distributed energy schemes, energy centres, and heat pump system design.
  • Appraisal and interpretation of the client's requirements.
  • Ability to design systems with calculations, equipment selection, and process operations.
  • Schematic design.
  • Compliance with legislation.
  • Assistance in both mechanical and electrical aspects.
  • Site visits to check installations.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Working towards HNC/HND or degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Solid Electrical Design credentials.
  • Understanding of BS 7671 requirements.
  • CHP, heat pump, solar PV systems, CHP, biomass, and renewable energy systems is advantageous.
  • Understanding of British and European standards.
  • AutoCAD competence.
  • Flexibility with travel to sites.
