About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer-Engineering to join our Automotive & Engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Level 3 T-Levels in Maintenance and Installation and Design and Development, including Core Engineering subjects such as Maths, Science, General Engineering, Electronics, and Mechatronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, including schemes of work
  • Design and implement learner-centred assessment methods, focusing on constructive and developmental feedback
  • Monitor and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements
  • Ensure a safe working environment for students and colleagues, enforcing health and safety standards
  • Provide personal coaching and pastoral support to designated students
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments in the specialist area to ensure relevance and employability of students
  • Participate in continuing professional development in theory and practice within the education sector
Requirements
  • Hold a teaching qualification and experience in teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
  • OR
  • Have a level 3 qualification in the subject relevant to the course and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification
  • OR
  • Have significant Engineering Industry experience, a level 3 qualification, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification
  • Good administrative skills and ability to track student attendance, progress, and achievements
