About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team in Peterlee, UK. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and reporting of the plant financial performance each month, analysing and interpreting results and providing commentary against budget/forecast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and reporting of the plant financial performance each month, analysing and interpreting results and providing commentary against budget/forecast.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, completion of balance sheet reconciliations and balance sheet reviews with the corporate finance team.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and track project spend from approval to asset capitalisation.
- Work closely with purchasing and accounts payable departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Provide all departments with the financial data required to make informed decisions, including explanations/interpretation.
- Completion of board notes, tax packs and corporate finance information requests.
- Supporting external and internal audits.
Your Profile:
- Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Experience of a busy finance function within a large multi-national company.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- SAP ERP experience preferred.
