About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Civil-Structural Engineer to join our Nuclear Structures team in Warrington. As a key member of our team, you will work on live projects, collaborating with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality designs and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare structural element designs in various materials, including steel and concrete
  • Conduct analysis of structures to ensure stability and safety
  • Develop design documentation, including basis of design, design method statements, and specifications
  • Gain a deep understanding of highly regulated industries, including nuclear energy
  • Develop expertise in Safety Cases and supporting documentation
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with design and construction
  • Liaise with project teams, including technicians who translate designs into construction drawings

Requirements
  • BEng Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering degree (MSc/MEng preferred)
  • 2:1 (or equivalent) degree classification or above
  • Ability to demonstrate legal right to work in the UK and meet BPSS requirements
  • Preferably completed modules related to structures and/or nuclear structures
  • Good technical understanding of Structural Engineering
  • Demonstrable interest in Structural/Nuclear Engineering and career development
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience in the nuclear energy or related field
  • Familiarity with CAD and ArcGIS
  • Driving license (some travel to site may be required)
  • Student member of an appropriate professional institution
  • Working ability in a second language and/or relevant work experience outside the UK
