Nourishment Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nourishment Coordinator to join our team at The Midcounties Co-operative. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our children receive healthy, nutritionally balanced food, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages wellbeing and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop, implement, and maintain a nutritious and varied menu that meets the dietary needs of our children.
• To ensure that all food preparation and storage procedures meet the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
• To work collaboratively with our educational team to support the development of our children's health and wellbeing.
• To maintain accurate records of food preparation, storage, and consumption.
• To contribute to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of our childcare services.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS check or equivalent.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and COSHH requirements.
• Experience in catering for large numbers.
• Great budget knowledge and management skills.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
