Job Title: Multidisciplinary Festival Assistant

About the Role: We are seeking a highly literate and motivated individual to provide administrative and marketing support to Nairn Book & Arts Festival. As a part-time role, you will work closely with the Artistic Director to deliver a unique and innovative programme of events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the festival team, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records.
  • Marketing Support: Assist in promoting the festival through social media, email marketing, and other channels.
  • Event Coordination: Work with the Artistic Director to coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings, catering, and technical requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the festival team to ensure smooth delivery of events.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot any issues that arise during events.

Requirements:

  • Literacy Skills: High literacy skills are essential for this role.
  • Arts Experience: A proven interest or track record in working in the arts is desirable.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evening events.
  • Transportation: Own transport and a clean driving license (preferable).

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Contract Details: Freelance, 12-month contract from February 2025. Renewable subject to funding and assessed need.
