Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled Claims Handler to join our team. As a Claims Handler, you'll be responsible for proactively solving liability, indemnity, and quantum problems to help drive down claims spend while ensuring injured claimants are fairly compensated.
Key Responsibilities- Manage your own claims caseload in accordance with our claims philosophy, handling procedures, and service level agreements.
- Respond proactively to incoming telephone calls and correspondence to avoid leakage and delays.
- Monitor ongoing credit hire periods to drive down claim costs and raise payments promptly and accurately.
- Liaise and negotiate with third-party insurers, solicitors, and credit hire organisations to progress and settle claims efficiently.
- Enter reserves accurately and promptly into our claims system in accordance with our reserving philosophy.
- Conduct liability and quantum investigations, considering potential fraud.
- Strong claims handling experience in an insurance company, preferably with an Insurtech or Motor Insurance provider.
- Good working knowledge of the MOJ and OIC portals.
- Strong telephone negotiation skills.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise your workload.
- Sound knowledge of liability scenarios and commercial awareness.
