Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will work on a full or half day basis, challenging and motivating pupils, reinforcing self-esteem and providing pastoral support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive pupil behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement behaviour plans.
- Provide individualised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them overcome behavioural challenges.
- Adjust approach to meet the changing needs of pupils with SEN.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other school staff.
- Contribute to the development of a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in behaviour support.
Requirements:
- Experience working with pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management principles and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
