Electromechanical Product Tester

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for comprehensive testing of high complexity electromechanical products that form part of a marine radar navigation product range.
Key Responsibilities:
\tComprehensive testing (including RF) faultfinding rework and assembly of electromechanical equipment to a high standard of quality.
\tWork from detailed procedures drawings documents change notes schematics oral and written instructions.
\tWork and rework to a high standard of accuracy consisting of operations such as soldering & unsoldering wiring & crimping drilling filing & cutting detailed rework of printed circuit assemblies and application of mastic & adhesives using a variety of tools and equipment necessary to complete the operations.
\tCheck and inspect own work and work of others including proactive troubleshooting and problem solving.
\tParticipate with the creation of SOPs and test documentation etc.
\tRaise defect reports.
\tView print and enter data via the company business data management system.
\tHave a conscientious proactive approach with attention to detail.
\tCreate and work in a team environment while implementing continuous improvements and ensuring the highest quality.
\tKeep facilities material and work area orderly exercising care in their use maintaining 5S standards and conforming to all ethics health safety compliance and quality requirements.
\tAny other tasks to support the operations team.
Requirements:
\tAnalytical approach to problem solving with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
\tProven experience of RF testing fault finding rework and assembly to a high standard of quality.
\tProven proactive ability with strong team skills and attention to detail.
\tPC literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
\tExperience of working in a cellular manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
\tRadar knowledge would be an advantage.
Experience Required:
\tAt least 2 years experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Employee Compliance:
\tThe job holder will be expected to comply with any reasonable operational instruction or procedures relating to Company policies reporting and controls. Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 provides a duty on every employee while at work to take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
\tIt also places a duty on employees to cooperate with their employer so far as is necessary to enable their duties to be complied with including the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
\tFailure to comply with this duty may result in the Company invoking the disciplinary procedure.
