Senior Building Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our talented team in our London or Epsom office.

About the Role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects across both public and private sectors, including education, healthcare, and more.

This is a great opportunity for a chartered Building Surveyor seeking a new challenge and the chance to diversify their experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide a range of Building Surveying/project management duties across several projects in different sectors.
  • Assist with the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
  • Manage the client relationship and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  • Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry issues and developments in best practice.
  • Manage framework agreements and deliver commissions under these agreements.
  • Conduct defect analysis, undertake building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
  • Understand the principles of quality, health, safety, and the environment within project management.
  • Manage project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
  • Conduct due diligence, condition, and measured surveys.
  • Design and lead small to medium-sized construction projects.
  • Provide professional services, such as Party Walls, asset management, and statutory applications.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hon's) Building Surveying RICS Accredited degree.
  • Full member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Good all-round surveying experience.
  • Experience of both pre and post-contract project management responsibilities.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage and develop team members, including mentoring of APC graduates.
  • Experience of managing clients and their expectations.
  • Compliance with all legal, professional, and corporate compliances.
