Employee Relations Specialist

As an Employee Relations Specialist at Connells Group, you will play a crucial role in delivering a first-class customer-focused Employee Relations service. Your primary objective will be to provide specialist support and advice to colleagues throughout our business, predominantly over the telephone.

The type of support you will provide is diverse, ranging from coaching line managers on how to approach difficult conversations to providing expert input on challenging cases. This role would suit someone who is currently in an ER advisory role or HR advisor role and wants to develop their career within Employee Relations.

You will work closely with the ER Specialists and ER Advisory team to apply relevant employee relations approaches and solutions, in line with our ER/People support model, to provide clarity and support to our Managers, business leaders, and teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Resolving and responding to employee relations-related queries escalated from the ER Advisory team or via the ER Manager
  • Ensuring all query resolutions are captured and resolved
  • Providing training to the ER Advisors and being a role model and offering support and guidance where appropriate
  • Supporting changes to and/or the implementation of any new ER policies and procedures
  • Working in collaboration with our Group Organizational Change Team on Group-wide project implementation

Requirements:

  • Employee Relations case management experience, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, ill health, flexible working, redundancy, contractual changes, and management of Employment Tribunal Claims
