About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Barista to join our team at 14Forty, working up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare expertly crafted drinks and serve high-quality food to delight our customers
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the bar area to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Process payments (cash and credit cards) efficiently and accurately
  • Promote excellent teamwork and communication among colleagues
  • Manage stock of clean mugs and plates to minimize waste and optimize inventory
  • Develop knowledge of brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to elevate customer experience
  • Monitor brewing equipment operation and report maintenance needs to prevent downtime
  • Represent 14Forty and maintain a positive brand image through exceptional customer service
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards and Health & Safety regulations
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry
  • Eager and motivated attitude striving for excellence in every aspect of work
  • Take initiative and make decisions for customers to provide personalized service
  • Hands-on experience with brewing equipment to operate machinery safely and efficiently
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak hours and maintain composure in challenging situations
  • Demonstrate exceptional timekeeping and reliability to meet scheduling requirements
